It was not the best launch imagined for Halo Infinite, but some die-hard fans are still there to support the developers about franchise. This is surely not a surprise as Halo is quite old, and it has a legacy to its name. This legacy may actually be the next part of the plan for 343 Industries.
Joseph Staten is currently the head of creative for Halo Infinite, and he participated in a program called Kinda Funny Xcast. Host asked why 343 Industries was not mixing some old content in-between new ones, but it was not a question of great expectations for an answer. But Joseph Staten actually surprised the audience with his answer.
Staten said there are lots of great classic Halo maps, and it would be indeed awesome to play them again. While he did not make any promises, he said he is taking a note of this.
As much as there is not a solid confirmation, this might be a hint for a possible surprise in the future for Halo Infinite fans. When developers are asked for things which are not part of the plans, they mostly answer with a straight negative on the occasion. Since Staten went the opposite way, people understandably got excited. Anything can happen, but let’s hope for the good one.
