The highly anticipated shooter Battlefield 2042 won’t support keyboard and mouse use on console when it arrives on November 19.

Developer DICE, in a statement titled “Battlefield’s Commitment to Positive Play”, said that they will not support keyboard and mouse use on consoles for “fair play”.

DICE says they are investigating options for enabling keyboard and mouse use on consoles, and how crossplay will be affected if they introduce it. They add that if they change their minds, they will share it with the players.

It’s very satisfying that DICE cares about fair play in-game. Especially the aim assist feature on consoles is very annoying for PC gamers. We hope they fine-tune this balance on the analog stick.
