Third season of Call of Duty: Vanguard is now live, and we have a lot of changes aboard. A new Battle Pass, multiplayer map, operators, balancements are all in the new season. Best part of the changes are probably the new changes for Ranked Play mode and the double XP event though.

Let’s start with the most exciting one, the double XP event. This is called “Max Double XP”, and players will have double XP earn rates for regular player progression, weapon XP, operator XP, clan XP, and battle pass XP. The Max Double XP event will be live until May 2.

Speaking of new multiplayer map, Mayhem is available for playing now. Alongside this new map, there is also a new new Trophy System Field Upgrade, and a good number of improvements to the game. Some map fixes were also made at points like a graphical corruption near the Library on Eagle’s Nest and an adjusted P1 Hardpoint location on Bocage.

Arms Race mode also received some solid changes this season. Those changes include adjustments to destructible walls and base gates that could not be properly damaged, and it fixes an issue where operators would not be aligned with the motorbike while driving it. Tank will also now traverse the terrain much better.

Long-awaited Ranked Play mode is now out, so prepare for some tough battles out there. Everyone has their Skill Ratings reset, and you will need to play 5 Skill Evaluation matches to earn a Season 3 Skill Rating and get placed into a Skill Division and Tier. Seasonal rewards are also there for skilled hands to grab.

Ranked Play mode is not just out, but comes with some improvements. First of all, you will see Berlin as a Control map. On the other hand, developer Sledgehammer Games is improving their AFK-detection and penalty system. They are kicking inactive players from a Ranked Play match and also applying some suspensions and penalties. Before we forget, the Volkssturmgewehr assault rifle and Sledgehammer melee weapons have both been restricted from Ranked Play.

This time Zombies updates are not that intense, as the priority was on the Ranked Play mode. Some new seasonal challenges, some fixes and improvements, and you will be able to use new weapons of Season 3 in Zombies mode once you unlock them on Battle Pass.
