Diablo Immortal players are losing third-party orbs

We could barely see a week without Diablo Immortal suddenly coming up with some strange news, and here we are again. This time, people are reporting that their orbs which are bought from third-party sellers are being revoked. This means that if the players want to buy legitimate orbs again, they will have to clear their debt, because their accounts are showing a negative orb balance.

This is actually not that surprising, because buying orbs from third-party sellers is clearly against game’s terms of service. Reason people still choose it is obvious though, because they are cheaper. As with every violation of official rules, this does not go without a punishment. Some people claim that the accounts that do not clear their debt in a certain amount of time are permanently disabled and some others say that they are instantly banned.

It is also a matter of question that how do these third-party sellers are getting their orbs to sell for half price in the first place. The only source is Blizzard’s official channels, and no reward system provides these orbs. Third-party sellers are apparently a tough problem to deal with, but at least Blizzard is protecting its own system in some way.
