The title goes some way back with lots of rumors and fails, but finally we are getting some details about EA’s Skate 4. Skate 3 was out in 2010, so we can confidently say that it has been quite some time since we heard about the series. As much as it may sound like the series appeals to skaters more, Skate also has fans from non-skater masses too. With PewDiePie suddenly getting obsessed with the game, series had a great bounce back from a mediocre initial launch on its third installment.

With some other well-known skating games coming up with new sequels or remasters, Skate had to make the run too. And for such a run, most sought single piece of information is obviously the release date. For now we do not have one, and game is known to be in early development so expectations are settling around late 2022 or early 2023.

As you might have already guessed, it is also quite early for trailer videos too. While developers have provided some small teasers about the progress, it is no gameplay video or anything like that.

One surprise though, is that Skate 4 is confirmed to be coming to PC. The series has always been focusing on consoles so PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S are highly expected as valid platforms, but PC was not expected on the list. This may change the game at certain aspects, and hopefully for the good.
