The very first game of Fallout series was released on 10th of October, 1997. It has been almost 25 years since then, and there are still many fans of the old series out there. While Bethesda took over the series at Fallout 3 and made it into a FPS with modern technology, the feeling of good old isometric RPG with turn-based combat is still nostalgic and beautiful. But now is the time for celebration, and Bethesda makes Fallout 76 free-to-play for a week.

Fallout 76 is obviously very different from the original Fallout, and it actually makes a dream come true. Fans of the series always wanted to be able to play Fallout in co-op mode, and it was not possible until Fallout 76. While the game was not amazing at launch, Bethesda kept working in order to improve it and made it into a much greater game. As much as a co-op experience for any other previous Fallout game would be much more attractive for the fans, Fallout 76 is still getting better step by step. Bethesda also announced a five-year roadmap for the future.

This free week of Fallout 76 begins today and will run until 11th of October. In order to help new players get started, Bethesda also hands out a “Post-Apocalypse Loyalty Simulator” (PALS) questionnaire and let them find their faction much easier. Prime Gaming and Xbox Game Pass subscribers will also receive some gifts, and there will be a seasonal event called Invaders From Beyond. Last but not least, a livestream on Twitch will take place on 7th of October.

Before we forget, if you are a fan for mobile games, Fallout Shelter will get new content after more than four years. You may want to try that.
