Halo Infinite came up with quite a strong hype after a long wait, and fans were absolutely hyped to jump back into the action they loved. But it was not a really smooth sailing as game is struggling with desync and cheating issues.

Head of design Jerry Hook took the talk onto Twitter and confirmed that they are fully back from holiday season and working to tackle the issues as soon as possible. Especially the surge of cheaters is really becoming a tough one for everyone. Due to cross-play function, Xbox users are also suffering from that.

As a result, Xbox players began asking 343 Industries to disable cross-play or at least add an opt-in option temporarily until the issue is resolved so they could play without cheaters.

Besides cheaters, there is also the desync issue that needs to be handled too. Connection problems are really sabotaging the game for many players especially in the modes Big Team Battle and Team Slayer.

There is currently not a precise announcement of upcoming update that will solve these, but the recent words show that players could expect a proper update soon.
