Awarded as the Game of the Year in 2021, Inscryption is truly a unique experience that brings deckbuilding, roguelike, escape room puzzles and psychological horror together into one big pot. Inscryption was released last year for PC, and this August for PlayStation. Now it is available on Nintendo Switch too.
Inscryption actually had a huge success by winning the Game of the Year award both at GDC and IGF events. IGF had some serious participants such as Outer Wilds, Night In The Woods and Minecraft. Inscryption also showed up on other categories such as narrative, design and audio. On the other hand, in GDC, Inscryption competed against games like The Last of Us, God of War and Breath of the Wild. This should tell you that the game has much more than what you see on the first glance.
What really separates Inscryption from other card games is the sudden twist that puts you into the middle of strange stories. It may look weird at first, but you will definitely not regret diving deeper into this one.
