As reported by Forbes’ Paul Tassi, CD Projekt Red (CDPR), the developer and publisher of Cyberpunk 2077, plans to re-add the game to the PlayStation store. Tassi bases this information on CDPR’s regulatory announcement on its official website.
After this announcement, Tassi noticed that Cyberpunk 2077 was back on the PlayStation store, but the game was not available for purchase and could only be added to the wishlist.
People who bought and returned Cyberpunk 2077 from the PS Store could view the game on the store, but other people could not view the game until yesterday. One day after this development, Tassi saw that Cyberpunk 2077 had been removed from the PS Store again.
According to Tassi:
Although Sony has closed the game to the public again, this may indicate that Sony is preparing to permanently open the PS store page of Cyberpunk 2077, which it closed 6 months ago to protect PlayStation users.
It is questionable how the game will look on PlayStation 4 if Sony makes the game available to the PS store again, as PS4 performance in the early days of the game was so bad. The game, which has got important updates before, will probably get another update soon. Players hope the new updates will at least contribute to some improvement. In addition, although the Cyberpunk 2077 performance on the base model of Xbox One is very bad, Microsoft has never removed the game from the store.
It is a definite fact that Cyberpunk 2077 sales have decreased since launch. The bad experiences of the game and its removal from the PS store have a big share in the decrease in sales of this game.
