Techland is both enjoying the good sales for Dying Light 2 and working hard for the content they promised. After the initial DLCs and updates that brought some nice content, now they are aiming to complete and release a story-driven DLC. They also said that this DLC will “surprise” everyone.

They are so confident on this surprise part that they even say “no one, no rumors, no guesses were correct about this next DLC so far”. They go on to say that it will be possible for players to start the new content “right after Aiden arrives in The City,” and the DLC will center around a particular area outside of Villedor’s limits. The DLC is expected to be released in June, so we have around 5-7 weeks in average to see what Techland is up to.

With the equipment sets for Survivors and Peacekeepers and then the New Game Plus mode added into the game, Techland is currently doing well with their promised progress for post-launch period. Considering that Dying Light 2 reached 5 million sales in three weeks period, they probably have a great motivation to do so anyway.
