It has been a long while since the news about Nintendo shortage have been coming up, and it was still unpredictable until when the shortage would last. Apparently we are still not in the moment for good news.

The news that Switch shortages could continue was announced by Shuntaro Furukawa, who made comments regarding the ongoing supply chain issues and semiconductor shortages around the year’s end .

“We cannot say that we were able to supply enough to meet the demand after Black Friday,” Furukawa said. If supply chains remain an issue in 2022, they’ll likely have to alter future sales forecasts as they just can’t reach demand. It was already lowered down to 24 million from 25.5 million.

Furukawa mentioned that sales were good though, and the Nintendo president also noted that the supply chain issues have not ended in the US but they were able to speed the progress up a bit for Black Friday, and Europe began heavily using rail transport to help their supply chains.
