Ubisoft has officially confirmed that the new shooter Far Cry 6, which will arrive on October 7, can be upgraded to next-gen console version for free, regardless of which console version was purchased. So, players who buy Far Cry 6 for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will be able to upgrade the game to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S for free.
As it is known, Sony announced in September of last year that players who bought Horizon Forbidden West on PS4 can upgrade the game to the PS5 version without paying extra, but last week it gave up on this decision. As a result of harsh criticism following this incident, Sony decided to keep its word.
It’s definitely admirable that Ubisoft will be providing a free upgrade for Far Cry 6 in the days when Sony made a controversial decision!
