The teaser video was shared at Sea of Thieves’ official Twitter account. Short video shows pirates burying a chest at the shoreline. The video description wrote “Maybe we can teach old sea dogs new tricks.” Many users discussed that this post is teasing a feature which lets players bury their treasure chests.
Further information hasn’t come yet but players are already excited about the new mechanic. Regardless of the details, it is a feature that would make life easier for players, letting them escape faster. It is assumed that you can come back for your treasure anytime you want. But the biggest question community has is if they will be able to have a treasure map to get back to their haul.
It is also possible for other pirates to steal other pirates’ treasures. There are also not enough details to talk about this, if we can acquire other players’ treasure maps or not.
