If you were happy that Skull and Bones release date was quite close, we have some bad news for you. Ubisoft confirmed another delay for their pirate themed game. It was less than two months, but now it is much more than that.

Ubisoft says that they need time to polish and balance the game before worldwide launch takes place. According to their announcement, the new release date is now 9th of March, 2023.

The initial announcement for Skull and Bones was made in 2017. The problems began with the investigation due to sexual harassment and pay discrimination on the Ubisoft Singapore studio, which was responsible for the development process. After the studio was declared clear, Ubisoft kept speeding up the development and marketing process. We were just about to finally see a happy ending but unfortunate news hit again.

Still, the delay might be actually good for the game considering that they are getting themselves out of the strong holiday season releases such as God of War: Ragnarok. Remembering the unnecessarily hurried releases in recent years, hopefully this will be worth the wait.
