The Callisto Protocol is known to be a spiritual successor to Dead Space, and one of the biggest promises are brutal scenes with a lot of gore. But we never thought that the team behind this game would actually sell DLCs that would include “different and more brutal death animations”.
These animations come along with the armor skins though, and there are 25 animations in total. 13 new Jacob death animations will be in the Contagion Bundle, and 12 enemy death animations are in the Riot Bundle. Both bundles are included in the Season Pass, which is also provided with the Digital Deluxe Edition as well as a separate purchase.
Besides those skins, Contagion bundle brings an ultra-hard permadeath game mode while Riot bundle brings a wave-survival mode so it is not just some animation or skin pack. Season Pass will also provide the Other Way Skin Collection and a currently unknown story DLC. As much as the bundles sound like they are really rich, it is still kind of disappointing to see those before base game comes out.
