CD Projekt Red says that The Witcher 3: Complete Edition will be coming out for PC, PS5, Xbox Series S/X around the end of this year. There is not an exact release date though. Expectations of fans for the next-gen ports are stacking around 2022. But it may not be the case.

As much as we do not have a release date yet, and the developer did not provide any information, game was rated for release by PEGI today. While it does not mean that we are getting to see the ports today, it is not an inaccurate guess to say that things are progressing. Anytime soon, we may be hearing about the release date announcement.

And there is a catch with it, in terms of speculations. New versions of the game will have free Netflix-inspired DLC, and therefore it may be a plan to release it alongside the second season of The Witcher series on Netflix. But it is just a speculation, of course.

Currently, The Witcher 3 is available for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. For PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, it is only possible to play via backwards compatibility. But things are set to change, and you will surely be hearing when it does.
