Warzone developers recently said that they are planning to raise the TTK (time to kill) of all guns by decreasing ADS speed. Professional players mostly expressed their disagreement on the matter very quickly.
It is not a new thing that Warzone usually goes around a cycle of “meta” as some weapons shine and some go down in each and every cycle. While balancement is indeed a hard endeavour in competitive games, this one sounds really strange. Maybe not that bad for casual players, but surely not great news for pros who have already minimized their average TTK by hardwork.
With this intent, Raven Software came up with the idea of lowering the ADS speed of all guns, so there will not be another change in weapons in terms of damage, range, fire rate etc. But this of course brings another set of questions to answer. For example, one of the most famous players of the scene, Aydan, asked that “would this move not actually become an incentive for campers who would take advantage of long ADS times”.
Aydan is only one of the many, and most people also mention that hip-fire loadouts like MP40 are totally able to bypass this change. Players say it out loud everywhere that they prefer damage nerf or something similar to combat TTK of guns.
