During 2019, first Control came out and suddenly made a remark among many gamers around the world. It was indeed a successful title and people wanted more of it, no surprise at all. IGN awarded the game with Game of the Year, so it should tell you the level of success we mention here.
Then we received Control: Ultimate Edition in February 2021, and a Remedy Connected Universe reveal with Alan Wake crossover expansion called AWE. After many catchy points Control had made, people wanted to see Control 2 as soon as possible. Developer announced the sequel of Alan Wake instead, yet it is also announced that a project for Control 2 was actually a plan. So the question is simple enough – when?
To be honest, the current answer is not very optimistic. It will at least take several years and several projects before it can come to life as Remedy Entertainment has already announced prior projects to be released first. Alan Wake 2, Control spinoff Condor, Vanguard… Lots of work to do. With such priority matters at hand, rumors indicate late 2024 for a possible release.
