Sifu will get a live-action adaptation

Sifu, the famous kung-fu brawler game, is getting a live-action adaptation. Sloclap did a brilliant job with this game and it was actually a matter of time before someone saw the opportunity. This live-action adaptation is also supported by John Wick writer Derek Kolstad.

The studio called Story Kitchen is a brand-new company, and this is their first project. Considering that the company was co-founded by FOUNDERS, it may be a great job.

Sifu was one of the most surprising games of 2022, and a lot of people loved the idea. The protagonist was seeking revenge from those who killed his master, and he had a talisman which brings him back each time he dies – but he ages a bit more each time he comes back. This was a brilliant implementation of difficulty layers, and people loved it.

Derek Kolstad is also working on the Splinter Cell Netflix adaptation and the Streets of Rage movie. His work is truly admirable, and he is quite successful on working with different types of videogames. Sifu seems like a good pick for this too.
