Around a month ago, we reported the news about the recent changes in Activision Blizzard regarding employees’ status. There were a debate going on about preventing the unionization efforts of Raven Software employees, and the strong reaction against the attempts of Activision Blizzard was quite clear.
A report coming from The Washington Post mentions that the management has been sending messages to employees with the claims that “unionization may harm the further progress in game development, promotions and benefits”. The messages are also sent along with a graphic saying “please vote no”.
This is actually a “bold” move from the Activision Blizzard as they are still under a meticulous investigation by many parties after the late events of discrimination lawsuits and acquisition. Raven Software still proceeded with their decisions of unionization, so now we will see the consequences.
