Cyberpunk 2077 Quest Director spoke about rumors

Cyberpunk 2077 developers, CD Projekt Red, promised during last year that 1.5 patch according to their schedule should be released around these times – January 2022. Besides the patch 1.5, next-gen versions of Cyberpunk 2077 should be also released too. Compared to the promises, we do not currently have any reliable information about what is coming.

This situation caused some players to get impatient and ask developers about the patches they promised. Among them, quest director Pawel Sasko responded to the questions.

On a recent stream, he said “Cyberpunk 2077: Samurai Edition? I hope you know that this is an absolute rumor, and nothing is confirmed from that rumor. I just don’t want you guys to be like, disappointed and expect something else, you know? Because you’ve been hearing some sometimes made-up things.”

This sounds a bit tricky as the Cyberpunk 2077: Samurai Edition was actually datamined, was a thing very much desired by fans, and yes there are probably lots of made-up stories about it already. But CDPR is dismissing all those things straight away even when there are things confirmed about it. Only thing known is that CD Projekt Red is not really following a great communication plan and this sometimes makes players really feel bad about the future of the game.
