Board game studio Level 99 and game developers Behaviour Interactive announced their partnership for launching the board game for popular 4v1 horror game Dead by Daylight. The Kickstarter launched on 29th March, and pre-orders are available to receive the game starting in October 2022. Here is all the current information about the brand new board game.
The basics are pretty much the same, to begin with. Just like in the console, mobile, and PC versions of Dead by Daylight, players can take on the role of killer or survivor. Killers and survivors can equip perks with abilities based on their functions in the original game. Build customization will also be there too.
Survivors take their turns before the killer, so the killer will need to carefully plan out each step. In th end, victory for the killer is achieved by hooking enough survivors before the generators are completed. Should sound familiar for all players by now.
Unlike the original game though, players will not die when hooked. Instead, they miss a turn, which is a setback to whole team. If you think that you can still go solo for the victory, survivors cannot win as solo survivors. It is either all or none.
Level 99 games launched the official Dead by Daylight board game Kickstarter on 29th March with a goal of $250,000. Only within several days, the Kickstarter reached its goal, and as of 7th April 2022, Level 99 games have raised $662,500 for the game.
The Kickstarter has two tiers, the larger one coming with more than double the content of the base game.
