Dying Light 2: Stay Human lead game designer Tymon Smektała said that he actually wanted to give players a better and stronger starter skill set. Smektala explained that they used the method similar with the first game, yet it was not his ideal state for a beginning.
In both games, player starts in a weak state and develops skills, finds or crafts equipments, gets a lot more stronger as the game progresses. If there happens to be a sequel, Smektala intends to design a starter character with a higher level of strength and abilities. Considering that Techland actually promised a 5-year support for Dying Light 2: Stay Human, these ideas may need to wait for a good while.
In the meantime, Dying Light 2 is now expecting its first story DLC. This DLC will not actually follow the footsteps of main storyline. It will start as Aiden sets foot in Villedor, and rest is still a mystery for us.
