Eidos Montreal, the current developer for Deus Ex, is allegedly planning to return to the series as soon as possible. Even further, the rumors mention that they are aiming to outrun the Cyberpunk 2077 while at it.
The rumors are not coming from just an unknown name, as most gamers around know the insider Jeff Grubb. He says that while it is quite early to expect any solid work to be revealed, but the studio is actually serious about making the return to Deus Ex.
You might remember that in the recent months, Square Enix sold Eidos Montreal studio and the Deus Ex franchise to Embracer Group. Alongside the studio and the franchise, they also sold Crystal Dynamics and Tomb Raider IP too. The total amount for the deal was $300M. Embracer Group, by the time, mentioned that they were seeing a huge potential in those names so it might be slowly starting to happen now.
