Marvel’s Avengers is getting its long-awaited update after a year. Best part for many players will be probably the “raid” they will be able to play as an endgame activity. This raid is called Discordant Sound. Better news for PlayStation players is that they will also get to play as Spider-Man.
Compared to Marvel’s Spider-Man by Insomniac Games, the portrayal of Marvel’s Avengers is also quite accurate according to Polygon. If you wish to see some differences though, you should better focus on the fighting style of the character.
Spider-Man seems slower than its previous characterization. But when it comes to balancing, Marvel’s Avengers also has things in a pretty slow way so it will not be a problem to break the game at all. Still, Spider-Man is known for his agility and speed so it may come as a disappointment for some fans.
In terms of the role he plays in team, Spider-Man looks like a support character who exercises some crowd control on enemies, and occasionally go for takedowns so his team can apply the tactics and maneuvers easily and safely.
Only sad part is the amount of content being kind of shallow for the character. Except that part, fans are likely to enjoy what they receive for a nice gameplay and variety, not to mean the familiar and legendary taste of Spider-Man.
