Battlefield Mobile was first mentioned last year during the publisher’s latest quarterly earnings call. EA CEO Andrew Wilson said he expects the game could release later in 2022 if beta tests go smoothly. In his explanation, Wilson said “Right now I think we’re looking at going into further testing at the end of May, and then, subject to the metrics and the data that we see and the engagement we see, we might look toward the end of this year, the beginning of next year, for a global launch.”
Company’s expectations are, if things go great, releasing the game before March 2023. But they also say that they are not willing to rush things just to catch a certain date, and if it takes more to make a successful game, they are going to take their time to do things right. This approach is clearly the better one, as the example of Battlefield 2042 is still pretty fresh.
Battlefield Mobile is still a hopeful project for many, and DICE says that they are developing the game specifically for the mobile platform as a standalone title. Game will have its own premium Battle Pass, cosmetics and unlockables. Both Android and iOS users will be able to enjoy the game.
