Nintendo is not planning to acquire other companies

Lately the big companies are almost in a race to acquire relatively smaller but bright studios to enlarge their operations. Nintendo, however, very clearly mentioned that they are focused on organic growth rather than acquisition.

President Shuntaro Furukawa said “Our brand was built upon products crafted with dedication by our employees, and having a large number of people who don’t possess Nintendo DNA in our group would not be a plus to the company.”

As well as we presume that most of you already you know the late storm of acquisitions, a reminder would not harm anyone. During January 2022, Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard in a blockbuster deal worth $68.7 billion, Take-Two acquired Zynga for $12.7 billion, and Sony acquired Bungie for $3.6 billion.

Nintendo, on the other hand, announced the statistical numbers for the amount of shipments in its earnings. In lifetime numbers, Nintendo Switch reached 103.54 million units and the company shipped 766.41 million Switch games.
