PlayStation Game Pass could be announced on the March State of Play

PlayStation likes to keep their audience updated with State of Play episodes taking place throughout the year. However, this year’s first State of Play might have some toppings on it.

Previous State of Play was planned in February but turned out to be a Gran Turismo 7 show. While this made some players sad, it’s said that March State of Play can literally happen anytime around.

According to Game Reactor and four seperate anonymous sources claimed to be reliable, the presentation was about to take place in February but some developers and PlayStation Staff requested a delay in presentation. This is because of the ongoing Ukraine-Russia crisis, developers did not want to steal spotlight, ‘just to show games’.

Sony did not give any official details but again, according to Game Reactor, we may see one or two weeks of delay, meaning first State of Play can take place on the last week of March. Sony has some games they would like to talk more about including Forspoken and God Of War Ragnarök. We are sure they would have something in their pockets twirling around in their fingers.

Game Reactor did not name any specifics but does say that ‘big announcements’ will be made during the State of Play. Now when you say big, i am thinking about long-rumored Project Spartacus, aka PlayStation Game Pass.

There was rumors of Sony thinking of merging its two most-used services, PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now, into one since December. With addition to Sony removing PS Now gift cards from retailers and insiders claiming to share information about Game Pass pricing, the news just smell around the corner. I mean, who does not love a fresh-baked service especially if it is a good offer? Make it happen Sony!
