Project Sirius from CDPR aims casual players

As CD Projekt Red announced three Witcher games, the details started to come along. One of the games called Project Sirius is said to be a more casual type of game rather than address hardcore RPG fans. The explanation was made by business development SVP Michal Nowakowski in a Q&A session after the financial report.

Game’s description says that Project Sirius will offer “multiplayer gameplay on top of a single-player experience including a campaign with quests and a story”. Nowakowski explained that they actually thought about making a mobile game, but they rather wanted to reach broader demographics. They also want to catch the potential players who watched the TV show but not entirely into playing dark-themed hardcore RPG games.

On top of that, Project Polaris is said to be a continuation of the core series in contrast to the Project Sirius. In case you want to have a true Witcher game with all great elements of it, you might want to focus on that game. A couple words are also spoken about the Project Canis Majoris, which will be a AAA standalone project. But Nowakowski ends his words by saying that Project Sirius is an ambitious project which is just different than what we used to see in Witcher series.
