PUBG Mobile introduces a new anti-cheating technology which is said to half down the number of cheaters in the game. This new system is called Fog of War, and Krafton says that this system is the first of its kind in mobile gaming. This system, in simple words, works by limiting the in-game information a player receives while using x-ray vision or wallhacks.
The system was being tested at a limited scale until now, and Krafton says that this system managed to decrease the cheaters by over 50 percent while this number could go up to 62 percent in “key regions”.
The system works over a few steps. First of all, Fog of War scans all the maps with everything they contain. This allows the system to understand that what a player should be able to see at any given time and location. With this finding, server only sends the related information to player so cheats will not work by revealing the “invisible” information sent by the server.
Krafton will introduce this system to all PUBG Mobile modes, and they are totally committed to bring down cheating to the minimum.
