After years of rumors and speculation since its initial appearance in E3 2017, finally we get the official word from Ubisoft that Skull and Bones is really coming. Reported by Kotaku, there is a test footage online.
Some of the important details from the game are explained in the video. One of them is “infamy” stat, which is used to measure the success of player at being a pirate. Players can increase their infamy by raiding ships, completing contracts and finding hidden treasure. Higher tiers of infamy grant players access to more difficult bounties and contracts, and failure of those contracts result in the loss infamy.
Players are starting with a small ship, working to find materials and loot to upgrade it. Stockpiles, skills, crew are all under responsibility of the captain, meaning the player. If you fail to keep things in line, your crew could mutiny. This would surely be the last thing you could wish in the middle of an ocean.
