The app of Nintendo Switch Online updated

Nintendo Switch Online app was around for a while, yet it took its big 2.0 update recently. This update brings some new features such as friends availability and re-worked UI.

The Nintendo Switch Online app came out with a purpose of having voice chat feature for console players, in games like Splatoon 2 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. While the app has been updated, the functions are still far behind the ones of similar available apps out there.

Now the app has one tab and showing who’s online on your friends list, games and services and voice chat. Users also can check settings and set some alarms for themselves (looking at you turnip traders!)

You can also set who can see you online, so there is a bit of privacy. The most welcomed thing out of this update might be the accesibility behind friend code, so you can share it faster and easier, just by copying it.

Nintendo says there are other small changes, we are not sure but believe in the good direction. Comparing with competitor apps, Nintendo Switch Online has some way to go, but slower means more stable. Right?

Of course, Version 2.0 update is free for everyone and you can just download it from their respective app store, whether it is App Store for iOS users or Google Play Store for Android users.
