The Game Award 2021’de yer alacak oyunlar duyuruldu. Bu oyunlardan başlıcaları ise Deathloop, Rachet & Clank: Rift Apart, It Takes Two ve Psychonauts.
Bu yıl ödül töreninde Yılın En İyi Oyunu Ödülü’ne aday gösterilen oyunlar ise Deathloop, It Takes Two, Metroid Dread, Psychonauts 2, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart ve Resident Evil Village. 20 oyunu farklı dallarda aday gösterilen Xbox Game Studio, en çok oyunu aday gösterilen yayıncı oldu. Xbox Game Studios’u 11 adaylıkla Sony, onu ise 10 adaylıkla Square Enix ve EA takip etti.
Oyuncular ve kullanıcılar, duyurulan oyunlara oy vermek için internet sitesine uğrayabilirler. Bunun yanı sıra En İyi eSpor Takımı ödülünü kazanacak takımı belirlemek için oy kullanmak isteyenler ise The Game Awards’ın Twitter hesabından başlattığı oylamayla veya The Game Awards’ın resmi Discord sunucusundan katılım sağlayabilir.
Geçtiğimiz sene gerçekleşen The Game Awards 2020 canlı yayınında 83 milyon izleyiciye ulaşmıştı. Bu senenin etkinliği ise Microsoft Theater’da 9 Aralık 2021 tarihinde gerçekleşecek. Etkinlikte yer alacak sunucu ve performanslara dair detaylar gelecek günlerde paylaşılacak.
