No Man’s Sky developer Hello Games confirmed on Thursday that the game will hit the store for Nintendo Switch on 7th of October. Originally, this release was planned for summer season but there is a short delay. At least now we have a proper date, and there will be both physical and digital editions.
For those who do not know No Man’s Sky, the game is based on space exploration in a procedurally generated universe. Currently, game is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. This next step towards Switch is still a mystery in terms of success and performance, but Hello Games has been developing the game since a long time with huge commitment. Especially after its initial failure at launch, their efforts were absolutely huge to bring the game back.
According to the statement from Hello Games, this will be a really difficult challenge since the game is built around procedural generation of game universe, and this process is handled by the console. For a device like Switch, that is totally a challenge of its own. But the team is committed to see success in this one, especially due to seeing it as a great challenge to make near-impossible things happen.
