Destiny 2 is still going strong with a loyal player base, and Bungie is surely aware of this. Considering that the game is now leaving some solid amount of content behind, they announced a new rotator system to bring back the old stories. This will also allow new players to enjoy the content they missed.
System will have seasonal and weekly challenges to make things more fun for everyone involved. The Seasonal rotation focuses on the new raid and dungeon for that season, with Pinnacle rewards for each encounter. On the other hand, the weekly rotator can bring all raids and dungeons that are not included in the Seasonal rotation.
Any of those raids or dungeons will grant you a Pinnacle drop reward from a Weekly Challenge once you complete the final encounter. These will also not have lockout system, meaning that you can farm them as you like.
Bungie previously said that they had to remove older content to prevent “bloating”, but now they are also bringing some part of it back. Considering that the players who buy the game actually pay for this content, it is not a bad decision.
