Stoic Studios is considered to be one of the best RPG studios under Microsoft’s roof alongside Bethesda Game Studios, inXile Entertainment and Obsidian Entertainment. This studio was formed by former BioWare developers, and they released the Banner Saga Trilogy last generation.
In December 2021, a report mentioned that Stoic Studios was working on an Xbox exclusive. A recent job listing surfaced actually confirms this claim. The job listing in question is for a UI engineer and it mentions “Xbox and PC,” but not PlayStation or Nintendo platforms.
Interestingly, this game is not an RPG but a side-scrolling action game. Project is still going under the codename “Project Belfry”. While there are a lot to be discovered, some points are slowly overlapping. According to these listings, we might see what is coming in future months, or in 2023.
