Forza Street is confirmed to be shut down by Microsoft

Both mobile and Windows 10 versions of Forza Street are apparently coming to an end in Spring, as Microsoft recently announced. Game will be available until then for playing, and then a complete shutdown will come so it is not just a “stopping sales” thing.

If you attempt to install the game and play after the shutdown, you will see a message that it can not be played anymore.

Last update to the game came on Monday and it also included a full closure of in-app sales. Besides that, as a “go out with a bang” move, the servers will offer 12 weeks of Spotlight++ featuring Rare and Epic cars, will reduce the prices of items which can be bought with in-game currency, and will have faster energy recharge and increased energy storage.

Following the early stop of in-app sales, people who spent money in the store during last 30 days before the update will be automatically refunded. If a player had in-game currency that was already obtained, then they are strongly recommended to spend it as it will be gone after the final shutdown.

As a final remark, developer Electric Square mentioned that they will continue working on Forza series in the future with the experience they acquired from Forza Street.
