Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered brought a lot of excitement among many players with its arrival, but there are some distasteful things happening within the modding community. Recently, NexusMods and ModDB announced that they have removed a project that replaced in-game pride flags with USA flags found in the game.
This was apparently done by a fake account which was used by a member, and both sites immediately took action to remove the content and ban the accounts. They shared very clear messages about not allowing such behavior within their ecosystems. Even further, NexusMods said that “if this policy upsets someone, they should simply delete their accounts”.
Modding communities are mostly fun as they are creating a lot of original work that improves the games in various aspects. If such behavior did not exist, it would be totally excellent for everyone to enjoy.
