Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, an action-adventure game developed by Ninja Theory, has got an update to upgrade the game for Xbox Series X and S. With this upgrade, the game will have shorter load screen times, better visuals and ray tracing on the next generation Xbox consoles. Speaking for PlayStation players, people who have played the game on PlayStation won’t be able receive the next-gen upgrade for their PS5 console.

Developers have upgraded the game performance and optimization for Xbox Series X back in the time, but with this update, both Xbox Series X and S have got upgrade. Will Potter from Ninja Theory has spoken about the upgrades in an interview with Xbox: “The Xbox One X Enhanced version of Hellblade was great but moving to Xbox Series X|S lets us really push the boundaries of what we can do with the game. Our starting point was to put everything on max settings, then make tweaks and additions from there. We were pleasantly surprised how great we could make this game look and run on Xbox Series X|S; the end result is even better than what we had hoped when we set out to make this update.”

Most notable change that has come with the update is ray tracing, which is a rendering technique used for better graphics. Also with the update, loading times are not an issue for the players anymore. Lastly, if you own the game or are subscribed to Game Pass, you won’t pay an additional cost for the upgrade.
