According to Katsuhiro Harada, the game director for Tekken 7, the game has sold over 10 million copies worldwide. With these numbers, entire series reaches to 54 million. In case you would like to compare it to a similar rival, Street Fighter 5 by Capcom is standing at 6.8 million.
Just a couple days ago, Tekken 8 was teased during The Game Awards and it was previously seen in another short teaser during September State of Play. The Game Awards teaser showed us the return of Jun Kazama as a playable character. But one of the most surprising things there was Paul having a beard and letting his hair go floppy. It has been decades and we haven’t seen him like that.
Tekken 8 will be available on Steam. One of the new features in the game is the Heat System which “triggers aggressive attacks with special moves and enhancements for each character’s abilities” according to the publisher Bandai Namco.
