Ubisoft announced a new co-op shooter game called Project U. This game will be exploring a new concept of session-based co-op shooter where many players come together to fight against an overwhelming threat, according to Ubisoft’s words. The project is at the early development stage, and its first testing phase will take place in western Europe.
Game will be released in English, but the test stage will comprise a lot of European countries in order to accumulate a high amount of feedback from players. Countries include France, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, Italy, and the UK..
Currently the future plans of Ubisoft are unknown, such as whether the game will have open beta tests worldwide, when the game is expected to be released, will the game be free to play, expected system requirements. Registration for first closed play testing is open for the countries listed above. First solid bits of information about Project U will probably come in the second half of 2023, if things go well enough. Considering that Skull and Bones has just had a fresh delay for four more months, Ubisoft might need some more time for other games too.
