Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl has been going through a very tough development process as Ukraine is still under invasion of Russia. Developers are trying to find ways to survive and continue the development since months. Recently, a new trailer came out to remind that they are still going on.
The trailer is named “Come to Me”, and it shows some parts of the story alongside the characters from the new game. There is a phenomenon called “The Zone”, which establishes the mind-controlled Monolith faction. Scenes in the trailer are taken from the explorations of this Zone. In the trailer, it is also mentioned that a group of scientists managed to tap into a fictional informational field of Earth called Noosphere. This is some sort of a psychic field to contain the higher thoughts of people and creatures on the planet. Some dangerous experiments on this field caused the disaster that created the Second Exclusion Zone in Chornobyl, where we played the first game.
Trailer seems quite exciting, but the real story behind the development is also quite heartbreaking. Just a week ago, a former GSC developer Volodymyr Yezhov died in combat and buried on 27th of December.
