The famous horror-adventure game Alan Wake has become a popular but criticized game since its release in 2010. The game was doing product placement by showing real-life brands to the actors on the boards, on the products, without any hesitation. While some players found it too much, others argued that it felt more realistic.
Regardless of the past controversy, a PR representative for Alan Wake Remastered confirmed to Screen Rant that the new game will not feature branding placements from the old game. So, no Verizon, Energizer, Ford or Lincoln. Reported that these agreements have already expired. Instead, the boards may contain counterfeit products and advertisements. If the in-game song is good news for those who enjoy television shows, they’re still in the game. In addition, Remastered comes with visual improvements, richer environmental details and enhanced character models and voiced by author Same Lake.
Rumor has it Alan Wake Remastered is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on October 5.
