As 2022 is ready to throw its challenges at us, game developers and publishers are coming along to help gamers relieve the pressure with many games. Sony also revealed the three games coming to PlayStation Plus for January.
Previous games actually gave us some ideas about the possibilities but it is always good to await the official announcement and not get hyped over rumors. Before further ado, let us take a quick look at the games of PlayStation Plus January 2022. Please remember that those games will be available as of January 4th.
Deep Rock Galactic
Deep Rock Galactic is a 4 player co-op game where you play as a Dwarf squad mining deep into randomly generated caves to mine special minerals, gather alien eggs, or retrieve lost equipment. Game is actually a bit older for Xbox and PC but it made its way into PlayStation scene recently. It can be described as if LEGO Rock Raiders was an FPS. Deep Rock Galactic will be available for both PS4 and PS5.
Dirt 5
When it comes to racing, we have some good news for you. Throughout January 2022, you will be able to burn some tires thanks to Dirt 5. Dirt 5 is Codemasters’ “simcade” game focused on off-road racing. You can enjoy different race types such as rallycross, ice racing, and other off-road events. Dirt 5 also boasts a dynamic weather and seasons system, changing how you prepare for the race and adjust your driving according to the current conditions. This game was a launch title for new-gen consoles last year, and it’ll be available for PS4 and PS5.
Persona 5 Strikers
If you prefer some nice narration alongside a good story, Persona 5 Strikers has you covered. It’s a kind-of sequel, kind-of spin-off to the Persona 5, following the original game. Instead of turn-based battles, this game brings real-time combat. You can also use a command menu to control each member of your party, including special actions. Fans of Persona can now enjoy the full story, as the original game is also available on the PlayStation Plus Collection. Persona 5 Strikers will be available for PS4, and also on PS5 via backwards compatibility.
