It is announced that Battlefield 2042 will use the same anti-cheat software as Apex Legends, Fortnite and Star Wars: Squadrons. EA has confirmed that this anti-cheat software will be active both during the open beta period and in the full release of the game.
EA says that this anti-cheat software to be used in Battlefield 2042 will instantly disconnect the cheater from the match and permanently ban the cheater from all platforms. The company states that if necessary, IP and hardware bans will be enforced and cheaters will not be tolerated.
The Battlefield 2042 team also says that in order to ensure “fair play” in the game, they will constantly fight cheating after the full release of the game will arrive on November 19.
Meanwhile, the Battlefield 2042 open beta kicks off next week. The open beta will start on October 6 (9:00 AM CEST) for those who pre-order the game, and on October 8 (9:00 AM CEST) for everyone else.
