Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger said in an interview with CNBC that the chip shortage may continue into 2023.
Gelsinger says:
“We’re in the worst of it now, every quarter next year we’ll get incrementally better, but they’re not going to have supply-demand balance until 2023.”
Previously, Sony and AMD also drew attention to this chip shortage problem, but the fact that Intel extended this period a little longer, frankly, makes us nervous.
On the other hand, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the presence of crypto miners remain the biggest obstacle to these supply problems.
As a result, users who want to buy a new CPU or GPU will have to wait for quite a while, and most importantly, remember that you should take good care of the CPUs and GPUs you have right now.
