Recent weeks have been a time of rebirth for one of the most disastrous launches of entire gaming scene. We are talking about the Cyberpunk 2077, of course. The game was simply dead at birth, but after 1.5 years it is coming back even stronger than most well-known titles.
In latest news, we are seeing that Cyberpunk 2077 passed both 100k threshold and The Witcher 3 peak concurrent player count. This is truly unbelieveable, regardless of the reasons behind. It is not a secret that developers have been working hard to carry the game into a properly playable state, and the Netflix series for Cyberpunk 2077 called Edgerunners has a huge share in this.
Obviously this is still far from being the game’s own record, which is over 1M, but that record was also a part of that unfortunate disaster at launch. Evergrowing hype since years led everyone to play the game when it was not properly playable at all. Game crashed very hard after those days and it took around 1.5 years to remedy all these things. Nowadays we are looking at the Phantom Liberty expansion, which could hopefully be another big step for the good.
