Discord is one of the largest online communication applications, and especially a staple for gamers since years. Recently, company released their quarterly safety report and revealed the number of banned accounts.
Between January and June 2022, Discord banned 55.573.411 accounts and 68.379 servers due to various reasons. Most of them were found guilty of spamming or spam-related offenses.
The number for accounts banned due to offenses other than spam is quickly dropping below 2 million. When it comes to servers, it can not be spam but rather unsolicited content, platform manipulation and illegal activities. Non-spam bans in general seem to be happening due to Child Safety reasons.
When it comes to appealing the account bans, a very small amount is found to be incorrectly banned. The percentage is 2% in Q1 and 0.6% in Q2, so if we put it simply, 235.945 people appealed and only 3.098 of them got their accounts back.
