Electronic Arts reveals FIFA 23 “match day experience” updates

Electronic Arts revealed a different type of update about FIFA 23, showing us how they reworked the “match day experience” like the crowds, replays, pre-match animations and all things that add up to the atmosphere of a football match. This is also accompanied by the addition of female officials joining the party in Ultimate Team, Pro Clubs and single-player modes.

Some of the specific changes to the match day experience is highlighted by Electronic Arts. One of them is the new audio which will help create an anticipation before important matches. Especially when the player is going to play a match that includes some sort of title, grand final etc., the atmosphere will be intense.

There will be new augmented reality replays and overlays to provide a more modern and stylish display for in-game data about the current match. Examples are goals, shots, passes and more. Crowds who are watching the match also had some serious changes such as detail levels and character model diversity.

Last but not least, in-game camera is also reworked to resemble the TV broadcast to give a more familiar feeling. Players are also able to listen to in-game music and disable commentary, while enjoying a series of post-goal effects that include sirens, buzzers, animal sounds and much more.
