Overwatch 2 is finally getting to rise high after the past issues, revealing some quite impressive statistics. A month later from the release, Blizzard confirmed that over 35 million people played the game. Apparently the issues during the first two weeks did not stop players at all.
In other statistics mentioned, average daily player numbers are doubling the original game when compared with the similar timeframes. Free-to-play model is considered the main reason for this huge success. Original Overwatch reached to 15 million players in three months, and 35 million players threshold was reached only in October 2017.
Overwatch 2 is going to be receiving a good amount of additional content in upcoming months, as plans are already in motion for 2023. The most recent news about these plans is Ramattra, new hero to arrive on 6th of December.
